The parish library has added a CHILDRENS' section, with material for children two to eight years old. appropriate material for 2 or 3 years old to approximately 8 years old. Parent must sign book out for child. At the present time we’re asking you only check out one item at a time from this category. As we build the area with more items then more may be checked out. This is a great resource for summer reading and for kids who don’t access to the school library.
I Shall Give Half
Bishop Sheridan is asking the faithful to consider donating half of their stimulus money to a Pro-Life organization. Some people may be able to give more and some people less. A gift of any amount will be a sign of support. Since the government is using our tax dollars to fund abortions, direct donations to a Pro-Life organization of your choice will offer a positive response to a harmful action. Meet Seminarian Anthony Ambuul
I come from a large Catholic family as the third oldest of ten children, with seven boys and three girls. All of us are cradle Catholics, and my younger brother, Dominic, is also a seminarian. My family attended daily Mass here at St. Peter, until we moved when I was about seven years old.
I entered seminary immediately after graduating high school in 2016 from Thomas MacLaren Charter School. I began seminary in Seward, Nebraska, and remained there for four years, studying philosophy, before graduating and continuing formation in Emmitsburg, Maryland, at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, studying theology. I will continue at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary for three more years before being ordained to the priesthood.
In my free time, I enjoy all outdoor activities, competition, and any kind of learning. My favorite pastimes include baseball, basketball, ultimate Frisbee, pickleball, golf, fishing and reading.
In 2017, I taught Totus Tuus with three other teachers here at St. Peter, and I am thoroughly excited to finally return!
After Mass, you can usually find me in the back of the Church. Please feel free to introduce yourselves, I would love to meet you all! I will be here through June and most of July.
St. Peter Parish is a welcoming community of different backgrounds living the joy of Catholic faith in the Diocese of Colorado Springs.
