Welcome, Father Tim!
I was born and raised in Colorado Springs with an older and younger brother. I thought about becoming a priest when I was nine years old and I entered seminary after one year of college in Colorado. I spent nine years in formation for the priesthood, one of which was in France, and I was ordained a priest in May of 2020. I am happy to be the Parochial Vicar of St. Peter and I look forward to getting to know you and seeing how I can serve you as your priest. You are all in my prayers.

Important Daily Mass and Reconciliation information

All parishioners in the diocese are invited to attend. During these most troubled times in our country, prayer, fasting and penance are our recommended weapons against evil. Our Lady of Fatima’s message is just as important today as when she first appeared back in 1917. We encourage you to please come and pray with us for peace to combat the violence and mayhem in our country and in the world. Some excerpts from The Five First Saturdays Devotion pamphlet by Fr. St. Peter Choir News
SING WITH US! Is the Holy Spirit calling you to share your musical gifts? We look forward to welcoming you into one of our choirs. We also welcome instruments such as violin, cello, flute, clarinet or any other instrument. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings in the church at 6:30pm, and warmups are 45 minutes prior to Mass.

The St. Peter Catholic School H&SA is taking applications now for quality crafters for our 11th annual Holiday Boutique. If you have a knack for knitting, a talent for turning junk into art or sell amazingly beautiful gift items, we'd love to have you join us! Just drop an email to HolidayBoutique@petertherock.org to request an application. The boutique is set for Saturday, November 13, from 9am to 3pm at St. Peter Catholic School. We feature more than 70 vendors of all kinds, and offer free admission, free parking, plus a raffle with fabulous CASH prizes! The To Jesus Through Mary Ministry is an active team devoted to spreading Our Lady of the Rosary’s message. We craft rosaries, lead Sunday Rosary prayer, and enact Rosary promoting activities. Satan fears Blessed Virgin Mary; he himself told Fr. Ambrose through the possessed person he was exorcising that, “Every Hail Mary said well is a blow to my head, if all Christians knew the power of the Rosary it would be the end of me.” Can we just imagine then the impact of many simultaneously praying the Rosary well? Irene Sutherland
Forever Resting Gowns for our Baby Angels
Every precious baby who is entering eternal life deserves to be clothed in a special garment of beauty made with love. Our parishioner, Irene Sutherland, does just that. Tender compassion is sewn into every stitch in the beautiful resting gowns and buntings for these little babies crafted by Irene. And there’s a story behind the cloth that Irene uses to make these meaningful gowns.
Women in the parish are choosing to give new life and meaning to their treasured wedding dresses to be used for the resting gowns. More than likely, these dresses have been hanging in their closets, sitting in their cedar chests or laying in a large box for several years. When parishioner and staff member, Julie Dickinson, asked Irene what she could do to repurpose her wedding dress, Irene thought of these dear babies who will not be going home with their parents but rather will be going “home” to Jesus. With these donated wedding dresses, Irene goes to work to create exquisite garments for these babies, and especially for their parents and families to help them during this unimaginable tragic time of sadness in their lives.
Irene shares, "Every baby is a precious gift from God above, and as I make the resting gowns and buntings, I am given the opportunity to reach out in loving comfort and support to bereaved parents in their great loss."
To assist in distributing the resting and bunting gowns to area hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, Newborn Hope has volunteered to collaborate with Irene to see that the gowns are placed in the right hands. Since 1973, Newborn Hope has been providing resources for Colorado babies and families impacted by prematurity and was eager to assist in this important, ongoing project.
We are grateful for the time, talent and treasurers given unconditionally by Irene, donors and Newborn Hope.
E-Bike Raffle
You can be the proud owner of this Giant E+STA Bike worth $3000! Tickets are $5 each and can purchased in the parish office. Purchase tickets in the gathering area after all Masses this weekend. Proceeds from the raffle will be applied to the mortgage on our Parish Ministry Center and Peter the Rock Chapel. Stop by the parish office if you'd like to check out the bike.
