Seeking Grandfriends for SPCS students
As a service project, each of our 1st through 8th grade students write to a senior parishioner. The purpose of this project is to encourage our students to communicate with and pray for people they may never meet; providing a lesson that in giving they receive so many blessings. Grandfriends are not required to write back, but our students are delighted when they do. If you are interested in being a grandfriend or know a senior who would enjoy receiving a monthly letter, please contact
Robin Sheehan.
Volunteers are needed to sell E-bike raffle tickets after weekend Masses through the weekend of December 18 and 19. It's easy and only requires about 15 minutes of your time. Click
here to sign up. Please contact
Debby Dover for more information.

Upcoming Lay Carmelite Informational Meetings
Did you know it’s possible for laypeople to belong to one of several of the Church’s orders? If you believe that you are particularly drawn to a life of prayer, it’s possible that you may have a vocation as a Third Order, or Lay, Carmelite. The Order of Carmel traces its roots back to the thirteenth century, when hermits living on Mount Carmel in the Holy Land followed the examples of the prophet Elijah and the Blessed Virgin Mary and dedicated their lives to prayer, community, and service.
To learn more, please come to one of Morning Star Lay Carmelite Community’s informational meetings, Wednesday, October 20, or Monday, November 8, from 7-8pm. We will meet in the St. Kateri Room at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 8755 Scarborough Drive. We will explain who we are and what we do, expectations and requirements, and the formation process. If you have questions, please contact
Sue Athey (719-265-6999). You can also visit the Lay Carmelites of Colorado
website. Check us out!

Do all Christians know the power of the Rosary?
The TJTM Ministry team is working in four ways to increase awareness of the power of Our Lady’s Angelic Psalter -the Rosary: Sunday Parish Rosary prayer; the gifting of handcrafted rosaries; Children’s Rosary evangelization activities; and Adult Rosary evangelization. We welcome all adopted siblings of Jesus who wish to honor our Blessed Mother by carrying out Her repeated requests to gain unity and world peace. For more information, contact Elsie Coyne at
