Effective Friday, November 12, Holy Hour will be offered at 3pm in the Chapel. Holy Hour will not be offered on Wednesday, November 10.

Our October 30 bingo was again a success - thank you to all who came out to play and support our great school! The blackout payout was $210. Remember, the more people that play, the bigger the payout, so come join us at our next bingo game November 13. Surviving the Holidays - Wednesday, November 17, 2-4pm
The holidays can be challenging after experiencing the loss of a loved one. GriefShare is a friendly and caring group that will benefit those who need support as they face the holiday season. “Surviving the Holidays” is a place to be around people who understand what you are feeling. The group will meet in the PMC. Registration is not required. Contact Melissa Smith for more information.

What is the price of religious liberty? The Respect Life Ministry presents "For Greater Glory", the highly acclaimed, true story of the Cristiada (The Cristeros War) - Mexico's struggle for religious freedom under the socialist government that perpetrated the most violent, anti-Catholic persecutions of the 20th century. The film is a 'must see' for all who are concerned about religious liberty today. It is rated 'R' for some violence and disturbing images. The Colorado Springs Order of Malta invites you to First Saturday Devotions to Mary. Mass will be celebrated by a Chaplain of the Order of Malta. All parishioners in the diocese are invited to attend. During these most troubled times in our country, prayer, fasting and penance are our recommended weapons against evil. Our Lady of Fatima’s message is just as important today as when she first appeared back in 1917. The Knights of Columbus and American Legion Tri-Lakes Post 9-11 invite you to a Veterans Day dinner and program in the school gym. Dinner will be catered by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store; tickets are $25/person. Purchase tickets at the door or by calling 719-271-3050. Guests are encouraged to assemble a 12" x 12" collage of family, relatives and friends who were part of the "Greatest Generation" to display on their table.

Tapping into Theology - Tuesday, November 9, 7pm
"Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." Veterans Day Mass at St. Mary's - Thursday, November 11, 6pm
Bishop Golka will celebrate Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral (22 W. Kiowa St.) Musical accompaniment will be provided by the Air Force Academy Catholic Cadet Choir.

Purified at St. Gabriel - Thursday, November 11, 6-8pm
Chastity Project and Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church announce, PURIFIED: A family-based event that invites parents as well as teens to learn about God’s plan for love. It combines Jason Evert’s presentation on chastity for the family, with a time of prayer, adoration, and the sacrament of reconciliation for everyone. We will also be distributing free resources to every attendee so that every member of the family can take items home to help them live out this lifestyle.

SPCS Holiday Boutique and Bake Sale - Saturday, November 13, 9am-3pm

St. Peter Catholic School invites you for a fun-filled evening with cash prizes! Concessions will be available until bingo begins. Cash payment is required for concessions and bingo card purchases. The bingo packet costs $10 and includes multiple games. Children ages six and up can play with their parents, as long as they can read numbers. Per state law, only those actively playing bingo and volunteers can be in attendance-no spectators are allowed, including younger children. Please warm a heart this Christmas by filling a shoebox with items for elderly native Americans. Suggested items include soap, shampoo, lotion, toothbrush, tissues, sanitizing wipes, playing cards, notepad and pencil, flashlight, warm socks, gloves, hat, sewing kit, coffee mug, greeting cards and stamps, sugar free candy, dried fruit. Wrap your box in Christmas paper and indicate if the box is for a male or female. Please return wrapped boxes to the church office by November 7.

WWII vet and longtime St. Peter parishioner Earl Depner will celebrate his 104th birthday on November 12 and we would like to shower him with birthday greetings. If you would like to participate, please bring a birthday card to the church before by November 10, and leave it in the box on the counter in the gathering area marked "Earl Depner". Please add the names of your loved ones to our Book of the Faithful Departed. It will be available in the vestibule throughout the month of November.

Join vocalist J.J. Kaelin, violinist Theresa Phillips, cellist Pam Chaddon, and pianist Robert Lambrech for "O Holy Night" on Friday, December 10, at 7pm. Enjoy traditional, classic and contemporary holiday favorites, carols, fiddling, a sing-a-long and more. This concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to benefit Tri-Lakes Cares, a community-supported resource center that provides critical resources in northern El Paso Country through emergency, self-sufficiency, and relief programs. Please join us in experiencing the power and promises of just 20 minutes per day meditating on the mysteries of Jesus and Mary! We pray the parish rosary on Sunday and individually on other days, we make handcrafted rosaries for missions and other parishes, we are just beginning to plan an adult education program, and we have begun youth education support with our parish school and youth programs.
