Fighting Human Trafficking: What Can You Do?
Did you know that over half of the victims identified in new federal human trafficking cases last year were under the age of 18? Many of these victims are recruited online through deceptive means. Those who are rescued require specialized after-care if they are to have a chance at a normal life. Our group of
JOY International Advocates meets monthly to pray for and encourage the survivors living at Sarah’s Home, where girls ages 12-18 receive faith-based restoration services. We also plan outreach activities and awareness events to support anti-trafficking organizations and educate the community about how to protect the vulnerable.
Our next meeting is Monday, June 27, at 7pm in the PMC. Join us to learn more and add your prayers to this worthy cause. All are welcome!
