Tri-Lakes Life Prayer Chain - Sunday, October 2, 1:30-3pm
The 12th annual
Tri-Lakes Life Prayer Chain will be along a two-mile stretch of Highway 105 connecting the communities of Palmer Lake, Monument and Woodmoor. The surrounding areas of Northern El Paso County and southern Douglas County are also invited to participate. The
Life Prayer Chain confronts injustice unsurpassed in world history. With an indifference we do not easily comprehend, since 1972 we have allowed, as a nation, the legal and institutionalized slaughter of our sons and daughters by the tens of millions. Despite the fall of Roe v. Wade in June, the killing continues unabated in Colorado. Participants will stand 10 feet apart along the
Life Chain route quietly praying in this ecumenical event for America's conversion of heart to a culture of life. Originally begun in 1987 by Baptist minister, Royce Dunn, over 1500 communities will be participating in
National Life Chain Sunday in America and Canada. Official
Life Chain signs will be available at 1pm at the Safeway Parking Lot (624 Highway 105) or at the
Park and Ride (corner of Woodmoor Drive and Highway 105.) There will be a collection of disposable diapers for Life Network/Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center. Donations can be dropped off at the two
Life Chain sign pick-up points. For more information, contact
stephanierkemp@gmail.com or 719-481-4355.
