St. Peter Rosary Walk for Life - Tuesday, July 30, following 8:15am Mass
You're invited to join pilgrims from other parishes praying the Mysteries of the Rosary as we walk from the church around the town of Monument stopping occasionally to pray other pro-life prayers. The route is about 1/2 mile. Walkers will be reinforced by special prayers offered by the homebound, those in assisted-living centers and at two other diocesan adoration chapels. If you are unable to walk the route, please consider the time in prayer in our Peter the Rock Adoration Chapel. The Rosary Walk for Life will conclude with a Divine Mercy Chaplet in the chapel.
This combined prayer effort by adorers and rosary-walkers led by Deacon Jim Bachta, is an effort to engage more intently in the Spiritual Battle for the Sanctity of Life in Colorado and provide an umbrella of support for Sidewalk Advocates and prayer partners who witness near the Colorado Springs abortion facility -Planned Parenthood. Our prayers are indispensable in the battle for souls compromised by a culture that denies the sanctity and dignity of every precious life. A similar
Rosary Walk occurs monthly at different parishes throughout the diocese, with supporting prayers from different adoration chapels. (The schedule is advertised in The Catholic Herald.) For more information contact Stephanie Kemp (
stephanierkemp@gmail.com or 719-491-4355).
