The Picnic Organizing Team would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of you who helped bring our great parish picnic together this year! Everyone who attended appeared to have a terrific time, and it’s thanks to all of you who pitched in:
- Fr. Gregory, for your support and encouragement
- The Knights of Columbus for all the food and supplies, cooking, and serving it, as well as for mowing all the grass at the Mining Museum before the picnic!
- The Amazing Women’s Guild for all the decorating as well as organizing and serving all those potluck dishes
- St Peter Parish Staff – for all your aid and great support for advertising, purchasing, making picnic signs, and anything else needed
- Deacon CJ and the liturgy team, and Choir
- Our beautiful Salesian Sisters and Faith Formation for the fun picnic games and face painting

This in-person event is a great opportunity to meet with Fr. Gregory in a relaxed setting and engage in meaningful discussions. Worthy Retreat for 8th - 12th Grade Girls - September 27 & 28

Surviving Divorce 12-Week Program - Begins Tuesday, September 17, 6-7:30pm
St. Gabriel The Archangel Catholic Church announces a new ministry offering hope and healing to those experiencing the pain and loneliness of a broken marriage. Surviving Divorce features 12 video presentations that cover topics such as shock and grief, anger and forgiveness, money issues, dealing with children and a former spouse, and annulment and remarriage. This program is for the newly separated and divorced and those still struggling with issues many years later. It will help them find answers to their questions, restore their hope, and begin authentic healing.
This program is based on the teachings of the Catholic Church and is open to anyone who needs comfort, counsel, and clarity after divorce. 2024 Rosary Rally: Mary and the Eucharist - Saturday, October 12, 9-11:30am
Save the date for the annual Rosary Rally here at St. Peter! Join Bishop Golka for a Rosary and Mass, followed by the keynote talk by Fr. Nathan Cromly, who will discuss “Mary and the Eucharist.” The Rally is hosted by the Thomas Aquinas Society and the Diocese of Colorado Springs. All are invited!

Honoring Women Who Serve
In honor of Veterans Day, the St. Peter "Scrappy Quilters" and friends are making lap quilts for women who served or are serving our great nation. If you would like a quilt, please place your name in the "Women in Service" box in the vestibule. The box will be available beginning August 24 & 25. Provide your name, phone number, branch of service and the Mass you usually attend. All quilts will be blessed by Fr. Gregory. Additional details to come.
Vehicle for Fr. Jacob
St. Peter will welcome its new associate pastor, Father Jacob, on September 11. Father Jacob has taken a vow of poverty and has no means to secure transportation in support of his ministry role at our parish. We are seeking your assistance to address this matter. You may have a vehicle that is no longer being used, or the means to help us secure one for Father Jacob. If this describes your situation, and you feel led to do so, please contact our parish office with your intention. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
