Prayer Intention
As we pray together each day at 3pm, this week let us pray that like St. Peter, we would become evangelistic fishers of men.
Diocesan Ministry Appeal (DMA)
How do we live out Jesus’ invitation to “come after me, and I will make you fishers of men?” (Matthew 4:19). We must be willing to share Jesus’ message with those around us. We must demonstrate Christ’s love through service. And, if possible, we must support ministries and programs that make tangible the Good News Jesus proclaimed. When we contribute to the Diocesan Ministry Appeal, we are saying “yes” to Jesus’ call to cast our nets into the water “to be catchers of men” in His name. To learn more and donate, click here.

World Day of the Sick Mass - Saturday, February 8, 10am
Bishop Golka will celebrate Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral with prayers for healing, anointing of the sick and blessing of caregivers. Please join us if you or someone you know is in need of prayers for healing. After Mass, members of the Order of Malta will distribute bottles of Lourdes water and accept written prayer petitions that will be taken to the annual pilgrimage to Lourdes, France.

Savio Bake Sale - February 8 & 9, after all Masses

Scout Recognition Mass - Sunday, February 16, 10:30am Mass
St. Peter will honor all Scouts on Sunday, February 16, during the 10:30am Mass in observance of "Scout Sunday." This includes past or present members of Scouts BSA, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, American Heritage Girls and Trail Life USA. You're encouraged to wear your uniform so you may be recognized and celebrated! After months of hard work, one of our young parishioners will also receive a Scouting Religious Award at this time. Liturgical Ministry Training
Lector Refresher Training - Friday, February 7, 4pm
The event will identify important changes including the “why” behind proclaiming God’s word in the Sacred Liturgy and will feature helpful pointers by our resident public speech expert, Mr. Paul Zmuda. Mandatory Lead Altar Server Training - Saturday, February 22, 2:30pm
This training session is for servers who have received notification that they have been designated as lead servers. We will cover lead server responsibilities and also Thurifer training. RSVP to Deacon Clarence Johnson at Cjohnson@diocs.org.
Mandatory Altar Server Practice - Saturday, March 1, 2:30pm
This training is for ALL altar servers and is designed to address uncertainties that have been noticed during Mass, strengthen understanding of the server’s role in the liturgy, and improve server core skills for our Sunday 10:30am “High Mass” and our other Masses. Mandatory Usher, Greeter and Mass Coordinator Training - Saturday, March 15, 2:30pm
We will use this opportunity to refresh all on the greeter, MC and usher responsibilities, serving as a dual-purpose opportunity to train new greeters, MCs and ushers. We will also discuss things we have noticed from a security perspective about which all should have a baseline understanding. The training will take place in the church nave.
