As we embark on this new school year at St. Peter, I want to extend a warm welcome and express my heartfelt gratitude for your commitment to Catholic education. Your role as educators is invaluable, as you guide and nurture our students in both knowledge and faith.
In our Catholic school, we recognize that teaching is not merely a profession; it is a vocation and a ministry. You have been called to share in the mission of the Church, helping to form the minds and hearts of our young people in the image of Christ. Through your dedication, you make the love of God visible each day.
This year, as we journey together, let us uphold the Gospel values of love, compassion, and service in all that we do. I encourage you to create an environment in your classroom where faith can flourish, where questions are welcomed, and where each child feels valued and loved. Dear Students and Parents,
As we begin another exciting and enriching school year at St. Peter, I am delighted to extend a heartfelt welcome to all of you—our returning families and those joining us for the first time. It is a blessing to be part of this wonderful community, where faith and education come together to form young minds and hearts in the love of Christ.
In our Catholic school, we are guided by the profound truth that each child is created in the image and likeness of God and is called to a unique vocation in His divine plan. Our mission is to foster an environment where academic excellence is coupled with spiritual growth, allowing each student to discover and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.
As your pastor, I am committed to supporting you and your family on this faith journey. I encourage you to fully engage in the sacramental life of our parish and school, as these moments of grace provide strength and guidance for daily living. Regular participation in Mass, prayer, and faith-filled activities will be an integral part of our communal life this year.
Parents, your role as the primary educators in the faith is indispensable. Knights of Columbus Jubilee Year of Hope Journey Pt. 2 - Wednesday, September 17, 7pm
Parish members are invited to join the Knights as they continue to support the Pope's Jubilee Year of Hope. Come to Peter the Rock Chapel for Adoration followed by a guided discussion in the PMC on part two of Bishop Golka's Pastoral letter. Drinks and light snacks will be provided. Pt. 3 is October 15 at St. Mary's Cathedral (time TBD) which will include Mass, Adoration and discussion of part three of the Bishop Golka's letter. Tapping into Theology - Tuesday, August 12, 7pm
We welcome three St. Peter parishioners who are members of the Order of Malta, the Church's oldest, lay religious order, founded in 1099. Eileen and Bill Maggio and Teresa Crichton will discuss "The History and Mission of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta." Their presentation will include the history, mission and good works of the Order in the world today. The group meets in the PMC. GriefShare Spousal Loss - Wednesday, August 13, 2-4pm
The death of a spouse brings a unique kind of pain. People who are widowed haven’t just lost a loved one—they’ve lost an entire lifestyle. The spousal loss seminar will include a short video followed by small-group discussion. The video features expert Christian counselors, authors, and pastors. The group meets in the PMC.
