Are you familiar with the Devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus? It has had a huge resurgence across the world. The Devotion honors the Face of Jesus, particularly as it was in His Holy Passion, and focuses on reparation for the blasphemies, profanations, and offenses against God, especially in the first three Commandments. Join Jule Lane, director of the apostolate, Defenders of the Holy Name of God, for her Tapping into Theology presentation, "Revolution of Reparation and Hope: Holy Face of Jesus," in the PMC. St. Peter parishioner Theresa Knapp will join Mrs. Lane in her presentation. An 1879 Veil of Veronica relic image sealed by Pope Leo XIII will be available for veneration. This special gathering at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church offers a meaningful opportunity to pause, reflect, and enter Lent with intention and unity. All women are welcome — teens to 110. Childcare is available from 8:20 a.m. – 11:20 a.m. (3-hour limit). For ages 12 months and older. Nursing babies welcome at the brunch. Registration is required and limited to 175 attendees. At daily Masses on the feast day of St. Blaise, throats will be blessed for protection against throat ailments and other illnesses. St. Blaise, a physician and bishop, asked God to cure a child who was choking to death on a fish bone, and the child’s life was saved. Thus, St. Blaise is the patron saint of healthy throats.
