We graciously have been given the gift of Pentecost and now enter into the season of Ordinary Time. This Ordinary season coincides with the summer months when we find ourselves taking vacations, taking advantage of our beautiful Colorado outdoors, barbecues with family and friends, and, perhaps, giving ourselves more opportunities to relax just a little more than during the rest of the busy year. We may also be reminded that our faith is most often lived not only in extraordinary moments, but in the quiet faithfulness of everyday “ordinary” life.
Ordinary Time is not “ordinary” in the sense of being unimportant. Rather, it is the season in which we are invited to grow steadily as disciples of Christ, most notably in our homes, workplaces, parish ministries, friendships, and acts of service. It is a time to deepen our prayer, strengthen our families, and become more attentive to the presence of God in the routines of daily living.
As your Parish Council, we are grateful for the faith, generosity, joy, and dedication you bring to our parish family. We encourage all of us to remain open to the Spirit’s movement in our hearts and to seek new ways to share Christ’s love with those around us.
May God bless you and your families abundantly throughout this season.

Corpus Christi Procession - Sunday, June 7, after 10:30am Mass
Join us to walk through the town of Monument with the Blessed Sacrament for the Feast of Corpus Christi. The solemnity of Corpus Christi is a more than 700-year-old feast day that commemorates the real presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Celebrate Women Veterans Day - Friday, June 12, 10am
The Tri-Lakes American Legion Post 9-11 would like to invite all, especially Women Veterans, to celebrate Women Veterans Day to honor the military service and contributions of all Women Veterans at Crawford Memorial in Palmer Lake (on the north end of Palmer Lake - 199 County Line Road). Uniforms are encouraged; civilian clothing is welcome.
A blessing for Women Veterans will be given after 8:15am Mass on Friday, June 12.
Diocesan Ministry Appeal
As Christians, our sins are forgiven in Christ’s name. We are also called to be instruments of forgiveness ourselves. Forgiving those who have hurt us doesn’t mean we excuse their poor behavior or allow ourselves to be taken advantage of. Nor does it mean we condone the wrong. It means we, like Christ, don’t hold their failings against them. We extend to all the same love that Christ offers us. We can help extend Christ’s message of peace and forgiveness through ministries that heal, reconcile, and bring hope to those most in need by supporting the Diocesan Ministry Appeal. HELP NEEDED for the Hospitality Ministry
The St. Peter Hospitality Ministry is seeking volunteers (14 years and older) for intermittent celebrations occurring at the church or PMC. Volunteers will be involved in decorating, set up, clean up, and serving during the event. The goal of St. Peter Youth Ministry is to get young people to Heaven, by giving them a place where they can be at home in the Church– free to be themselves, make good friends, encounter Jesus, serve others, and become saints!

High schoolers (rising Sophomores - Seniors) are welcome to apply to be leaders in the faith for the Bosco Middle School youth group. Once a month we will meet and once a month you will be running the middle school youth nights. This is a great way to spread the love of Christ and grow in your own faith and Christian community as well!
Our training day will be August 15 from 10am-4pm. Bosco Nights are First Fridays (6-8pm) and Bosco Core Team Meetings will be Second Wednesdays (6-8pm)
Please apply by July 20, 2026. In discerning the members of the team, preference will be given to upperclassmen.
