Go Holiday Shopping to Support Survivors of Human TraffickingThe St. Peter HOPE Advocates will be hosting three booths this holiday season for Sak Saum for Freedom! All proceeds go to prevent human trafficking and support survivors. Sak Saum was started in faith, with one woman and one sewing machine. Every item is crafted by women and men who have escaped or survived human trafficking. Sak Saum's mission is to empower marginalized individuals and families with continued job creation through sustainable, ethical and eco-friendly fashion.
Our first booth will be Saturday, November 7, 9am - 3pm, at the Fair Trade Market at Beth El Mennonite Church (4625 Ranch Dr., Colorado Springs). We will also be at the St. Peter Holiday Boutique on November 14 and the St. Gabriel Christkindl Market on December 5. Get a start on your holiday shopping while supporting a good cause. If you would like to participate in staffing one of our booths, we welcome the help! Please contact
mary.wyman@att.net.
